http://serfcity.wordpress.com/2007/11/16/iran-bush-administration-and-leading-presidential-candidates-repeat-the-same-tragic-mistakes/

How we overthrew a Popularly elected official in 1951 and installed a murderous dictator who ruled for over 25 years.

Why do you think they want to kill us. Are we not doing the same things today? Are we not Right Now using taxpayer dollars repeating this mistake in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? Didnt the Saudi Arabia courts just sentance a female Gang Rape Victim to 6 months in prison and 200 LASHES for being an adulturess. Shouldnt there citizens hate us?

It is not a rant. I am simply wondering what peoples opinions on our adopted Foreign Policy of the last 70 years and the next 4-8 the way things are looking with the top field of Presidential Contenders

We should mind our own business.

We do make mistakes but are we not repeating them and failing to notice?

We did the same in supporting Pinochet in Chile, Marcos in the Philippines, Noriega in Panama, Hussein in Iraq, et al.

Sometimes the past US foreign policy, especially covert operations, only planned for the short term; there was no foresight about the ramifications of supporting a man who would be dictator and commit scores of human rights violations, as well as sacking the nation's treasury, leaving the people poor.

Pakistan is different, as we are supporting the current government because it has allowed the US to enter their country to fight the elusive Al-Qaeda.

Saudi Arabia is different as the monarchy has allowed US troops to land in their country in fighting Iraq. Plus, Saudi Arabia has a lot of oil field$.

However, once the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan are over (if ever), I believe the US will withdraw support for the current Pakistani regime.

I submit the same response as I did to your other, similar question. The website you cite is factually incorrect in many ways and is only an opinion piece, not the historical record.

Believe they should hate some actions we took in the past, but feel majority of Iranians get lead around by special interests groups that are solely interested in their own benefits, and know how to use every emotional ploy to get what they want.

Make up your mind, is this rant about Iran or Saudi Arabia.

I think we should mind our own business as a country, but that will never happen.

Your one sort of patriot. Everyone makes mistakes, espicially us POST WW2.
