A Rutgers student, heading north, enters the New Jersey Turnpike at
Exit 4 at 11:07pm. That same night, she leaves the Turnpike at Exit 9 at
11:43pm. Prove that she is a lawbreaker using the language of caculus. I dont know what to do with this! I know you need to use several calc rules...

We need more info to solve this:
1. What is the distance between exit 4 and exit 9?
2. What is the speed limit on the NJ turnpike?
Once we know these, we can use the mean
value theorem to solve the problem.

This is not a valid Maths question because it requires geographic knowledge of the NJ Turnpike.
It took 43 - 7 minutes = 36 minutes to cover the distance between junctions 4 and 9, but since I don't know how far apart they are, I cannot calculate the speed. This is assuming that the broken law is a speed limit violation anyway.

Also, what is Rutgers? I can only assume it's an educational establishment of some kind. Is this relevant?

You probably have to be an American and familiar with New Jersey laws as well..
