To your significant other (or if you don't have one at the moment, how would you if you had one)?

You already know that I don't have one, but if I did I would show it by a lot of different small things. If I know he had a hard day at work, maybe I'd offer to give him a nice back massage. If I see something in the store that made me think of him, maybe I'd surprise him with it. If it was around one of the holidays maybe I'd get him something extra special or take him to his favorite restaurant. If he had been being extra sweet maybe I'd make a romantic candle lit dinner or tickets to a concert of his favorite singer or band for him. The list just keeps going, but I can't list it all here.

I cannot for the life of me find a way to show my appreciation to him that seems to mean anything to him at all. He hardly ever lets me DO anything for him, he has to do everything himself. If I compliment him, or tell him something that he did that I liked or that I thought was wonderful, it's as if he just shrugs it off. I've come to the conclusion that he doesn't want to believe that I actually appreciate him.
I am open to suggestions.

A simple kiss on the cheeks, a warm hug, and say Thank you very sincerely,,,and what more a simple token ,,a personal one, not expensive but something nice...a bracelet, a necklace, or a personal handicrafted object or writing..a lovenote ..any of those stuff..it will eb appreciated in return

It happened before... I always give him extra treatment everytime my lover had been helpful and loving to me...

depends on what he did, i always say thank you, but if i am real happy with something he did, i have my own little ways of saying thanks!
