diamond, i am NOT a liberal...but i do not believe that we need to fight everybody;s battles...we do NOT need to be the policeman of the world...we have enough problems in our own country that need fixing before we can tell others how to run themselves!!

Yes you can support the troops and not the war. I can't stand onesided people. I have 2 brothers in military, they tell me what goes on over there. Its a bunch of bull. One week after arriving when it all started my brother who is in the marines told me he was guarding oil rigs. Everyone caught on pretty quickly. I know there is fighting going on but not for the same reason everyone wants to believe.

Not today, but only because I haven't seen any yet. When I see any members of the military when I'm out and about, I try to make a point of going over and thanking them, and telling them that I appreciate their sacrifice....at least if I can do so without being intrusive.

Like you, I don't particularly support this war....in fact, I thought it was a bad idea from the get go....but to me, the men and women serving around the world are truly heroes. They are trying to do their part to protect us and the rights that too many of us take for granted. They are probably the most unappreciated segment of our population......and they should be the most.

I agree with you. You can support those that are serving without agreeing with why they got sent there. I feel for each and every one of them, knowing what they are going through and being away from their families.
I know how I would feel if my son was sent to do as these people are doing and would hope people would understand it is not always a choice for these people.

I agree with you. The war is a tragedy, but the soldiers fighting in it aren't the people who started it. They deserve our support. The war doesn't.

I am a veteran, and thank you. I support you, but your job isn't worth doing either.

If they are fighting to keep your freedoms, why don't you support the effort?
Liberalism is a mental disorder.

No I havent, I support neither. I dont believe you can not support the war yet support those who are fighting. That is like saying you support a doctor but don't support the work the doctor does.
