I think the Harry Potter theme park is a great idea....it would really make the books come alive and spark the interest of new generations to read the books.
Not to mention....i live in Florida....and live close to Orlando...so i'm happy. =)

it is a great idea, but it is not a whole theme park, they are putting it in universal studios between Jurassic park and lost continent and converting over the employee parking lot and also possible converting dueling dragons to a harry potter dragon ride

I think the idea and concept are great, and I'm sure the addition of the area to Universal's IOA is going to be great (especially since JK has a role in the creation of the area), but I think that at some point, the Harry Potter fandom will have to eventually die down. Maybe not next year, or the year after, but it's got to eventually die down at some point. Then, when it does, they'll just retheme that area to something else, and change it up like they're doing now.

I think it would be a bad idea unless they had a majority of big roller coasters. Other than that, I think you would lose interest because how many ideas for rides can you come up with about Harry Potter?

yes.... and no.
Harry Potter has such a following that you can put his name/logo on anything and sell it. so it would be easy to get lazy and build a lousy park with lousy attractions.
However, if properly done it is a great idea with a lot of potential. and since it is a park within a park, you don't have to be a harry potter fan to enjoy the park. there would be other things to do.

u put it on anything and that thing would sell
so it would nt be a bad idea to actually to construct the harry potter theme park

i think that if executed correctly it would be a good idea.
Like if they made it really well and spent the money on making it realistic and what not it would be really cool, but if they did like low-budget stuff that didn't really tie in at all with Harry Potter it would just ruin it for me
