If you are being told to consider the fact you may have a problem. That means you've hurt the ones who love you. This sucks and is hard to understand. But one should consider themselves lucky enough to be loved even if they are wrong. BUT, to be sure take a little time to look at yourself differently and find your limit. (perhaps). Check it out by (while alone sometime) have one drink and take notice to the changes in you then another and take note etc... etc.... or even sit one night and watch others changes one drink at a time. It would shock you to see yourself at moments you thought were clear but a video would show you. Man I was shocked. I didn't stop drinking but I deffinatley changed the way I was drinking. (ok well) most of the time.
Ya go with both. You won't regret it. Unless you really don't like to pee.
PS you don't have to stop drinking but you do have to stop hurting the ones who love you. If you can't love them back then leave them be.

I take it you are drinking alcohol?
More water is good, but don't forget to eat - most drunkards I know are skinny and do not eat properly.
