Have you seen a ladybug.... they are so cute... so tiny and are known to be friends with the fairies and pixies (and they even pee on your hand!)

Kids love ladybugs because of their bright colors and different spots and patterns, they don't bite or sting and seem gentle, and, when you hold them in your hand, they crawl to the highest point, spread their tiny wings and fly away home.

I'm more partial to Scorpions, Ladybugs freak me out.

I think ladybugs are the friendliest bugs. Kids probably like them cause you can hold one and it won't fly away right away.

I think it is cuz they are harmless and so small kinda like Rollie pollies.... however when my daughter was about a year and a half or so she was introduced to the lady bug and I have never seen a child cry so loud and so hard she was so scared of them and I have no idea why..... she is almost 8 now and she still hates them... weird huh... I love them.. I think they are a sign of good luck

Because you think you can work out their age by counting the spots on their backs!

because they really tiny..and they not like other insects which are creepy crawly..plus they kibnda tame in the sense that they dont fly away all the time and you can play with them easily :)
