Composite Baseball bats are the only non-wood bat that makes a sound like that. Just go to any place that sells bats. It should say "composite" on the bat or in the description if you're buying online. They are usually a little more costly than a regular aluminum bat though.

From what I am told, the Easton Stealth composite bat sounds alot like wood. I have actually used it and it does have great pop and the ball does jump off the bat very well, but for some reason, when I'm at bat I don't hear the sound that everyone around me seems to hear. Maybe I'm too close or too focused. I use a wood bat from time to time too, and don't hear the "crack" of that bat either, even when I know I've hit it well.
