Yes, often times health care providers think women's problems are all emotional and don't take them seriously at all. That's scary and also dangerous.

I dont care what others think, but women can handle pain better than any man.And I am not talking child birth (even though that should count) Men in general are big sooks, when they here the word needle they are off at 100mph.Here in Australia we are short of nurses, Drs,etc.etc.And each stay I have had in hospital was fine, but I was mobile with a walker, and my husband took time off work to travel with me,so I was ok..But the elderly didn,t fair as well,I was forever chasing nurses or Drs.for them, my husband or myself would do what we could to help, but there is only so much you can do..The nurses when we could find them were always on tea break,so they would come in and take the old lady to the loo, then go back to her tea break,When we came back about an hour and half later the little old lady had xrays to get so we thought thata where she eill be.

I think people in hospital think men can handle pain more than women, when hubby broke his leg they picked up his leg by his ankle instead picking it up around the calf part........ they didnt treat him very well like they should........... i have seen them treat women like they was going to break if moved.......
