is it better to cheat rather than divorce ,y r men afriad to get a divorce,if it is only sex that most cheat 4,y not spice things up with the wife,married men act like they respect thier holy vows but still cheat.i know about the cake and eating it 2 thing,but that sounds like such a stupid excuse 4 cheating.is temptation that hard 2 resist.or r they really affriad of somrthing else.what is the biggest fear y men stay in thier marriage.the kids,the money,the house,thats all old and tired excuses. tell the truth men...tell the truth.i used 2 b with a married guy and i ended it but he acted like his world was crushed and i did the worst thing in the world by leaving him.he begged,we faught.tires were slashed, vases ended over heads,the never ending threats from each other,it took months 4 him to leave.so after leaving him,i was lead 2 ask,is sex so bad in marriages that instead of making things work with the wife they would rather cheat.IS IT REALLY SEX,do tell or is there more to it

OK, so you were with a married guy and NOW you want to complain that men cheat...
IS THIS A JOKE???
And I am insulted that you say we all do it... WE DON'T, and might I remind you you are/were part of the problem.
If women would stay away from married men then there is half the problem solved.
The sex in my marriage is fantastic and would never go any where else...
I am just lost here what exactly is your point?

I really think that in many cases there is more to it. Also, remember, some married women cheat too... I truely believe some cheat because they have friends/buddies that cheat... and they go to work and talk about their stories at work just to look "cool" or "bad"... I also believe if you hear bad things about their spouse they are probably not true... yes, some people stay w/ their spouse so they don't have to pay child support and alimony... but, you know, the truth always comes out, I really don't know why people lie because the truth is always lurking somewhere... I tend to blame hollywood and tv and the internet for cheating these days... hollywood and tv and the internet tends to put unrealistic expectations on how one should look... and for the man or woman who says they are not getting sex at home, perhaps they should ask themselves, why??? many people think the grass is greener on the other side, but, it never is...

Read rene's answer. She almost got it right at least down to the reasons men cheat and don't leave. Her resons are wrong but the why is right on.
The other thing that amazes me is how many women minimize the cheating of women. Notice statements like a few women cheat too. No man can cheat without a willing female partner (if he is straight).

The biggest fear for men is losing their children. Some men try with their wives but their wives don't make an effort. Sex is not the most important thing in a marriage or a relationship love is but sex is a very close second. If you aren't giving your man what he needs someone else will. Women don't kid yourselves MEN NEED IT!!!

Men who cheat tend to say they cheat for sex. Women who cheat tend to say they cheat because they feel neglected.
However women have sex when they cheat and men who don't get sex at home feel neglected.
They may place the emphasis in different ways, but both men and women cheat for the same reason - they feel unsatisfied. Perhaps they have higher needs then others, perhaps they handle being disatisfied worse, or perhaps their partners really are not giving them remotely close to what most people would need.

When a married man cheats usually he cheats for several reasons, lack of communication at home which in turn leads to lack of sex at home. Usually when partner cheats things at home at gotten pretty much routine and he cant talk to his wife anymore or she is always nagging him. The other women is the opposite. She talks to him, has things in common with him and the sex is usually exotic. He will love the other women but he will usually not leave his family. Reasons: he loves his kids and does not want to hurt them and it will cost him to much in child support and alimony and he will not be able to make it on his own.
As for your statement make it work with his wife when things have gone to far it is sometimes impossible to make it work with a wife. This can apply for the women also..

Men cheat because they're not getting it at home. Men and women's sexual desires are, for the average couple, different. Men want sex more than women. That gets very frustrating after a while.

More often, it isn't just sex. Maybe you're not giving him the attention he wants or he isn't too satisfied with you. Are you too moody or too vain? Are you too quiet or too obsessed? Are you not submitting well to your husband? Something? Probably you do things he doesn't like or you don't always compromise things with him. Try to think of more reasons why he did that and go from there. Remember even if us men really desires sex, (actually i think it is in our nature) it is certainly more than that.
