The cats spend the night in the garage. We've fixed a number of boxes and placed pillows and padding on some of the bookshelves. They love it! They sort of do this Musical Beds thing in which they take turns claiming a space. One box might be ultra-popular for a while. We even had our little alpha male sneak out there to claim the favorite box ahead of time.
When it's bedtime for them, I clap my hands and, in a silly high voice, call out, "Bedtime! Bedtime for kitties!" The three boys race to the garage, if one or more haven't gone already. Precious is spoiled and gets to stay on a pillow next to me till as late as 3-4 a.m.
The car stays outdoors where it belongs!
Precious was put to bed about an hour ago, and I'm still up, waiting for the moment I can take my painkillers and maybe get some sleep. So, what am I doing here, watching "Stay Alive" again when it's not that good a film? Sadly, I missed "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane", an early film for Jodie Foster, with Martin Sheen as a very creepy guy.

My kittens both run wild under the moon, windswept or not my love! They are currently on a shrew catching mission which is proving extremely fruitful.

I should have done, then maybe he wouldn't have been run over. But I don't want to keep my cats locked up, they have to be free to live their own lives.
