Discuss the nature of coexistence of various communities with examples?

As a Christian I live in a neighborhood were going to church is not even considered, but we coexist because of respect for each other. As a Christian it is my job to Love my neighbour as thyself. I have found that when I apply this to most people including my own neighbors that respect comes back to me and we live side by side without any problems. People can get along, its just a matter of wanting too.
