Well, it depends on if she were naughty or nice, she should not get anything, should is a strong, word. What would I give my 17 year old child, if she or he, because I have 4 boys were good I'd give them $100 to spend or I'd spend upto $100 on their desires, as I am better at finding their wants at a cheaper price. But my kids are excellent students and I have four, They are honor roll-e's and if I could afford to give them more I would probably give them $200 a piece. But if they were rotten, they'd get a box of coal, and a piece of humble pie!

Christmas is about family and being grateful for all you have...Its about doing what you can for others not standing with your hand out waiting for what we think we deserve...
A 17 year old who is waiting and wanting to know about the dollar value sounds like she already has been given more than she should have ( a bit spoiled )

I think you need to go to church to find the real meaning of Christmas, or watch the Charlie Brown Christmas, to find out, that may be more your speed....Don't worry about the dollar amount... There are many homeless people that would give anything just to be in a warm place on Christmas..

Christmas isn't about a dollar amount you spend. It's about giving. The thought of the gift.

It's not about the value of the gift it's about knowing you and finding that something special that will make you smile. It's really the thought.
