Its sounds stupid, but I'm having a recurring dreams about joyriding in a car for like 2 blocks. Then 50 years later I'm in court for it they are talking about statutes of 70 years...and all I need to do is prove them wrong. They keep asking me, "well what is it then?" and I can never think of the answer. So I tried looking it up to no avail

try just doing a search for crimes in general. It is probably only 2 or 3 years.

Update-
Dick is flat wrong. It is two years for a minor offense and five years for a major offense. See 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 5552 subsections (a) and (b).

I just couldn't remember if it was two or three at first so I double checked it. Twelve is just ridiculous. He must have pulled that out of thin air.

PS- In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Grand Theft Auto is a video game not a criminal offense. If you steal a car it is just simply theft by unlawful taking.

Grand theft auto is a felony. The SoL for a felony in PA is 12 years.
