My psychology professor assigned as an extra-credit project, to discuss why service learning "is not" important to self-leadership. I am here to ask for the Yahoo! Answer's community's opinions, because I feel like service learning IS a very important part of self-leadership.

I'm trying to avoid having to write up a five-page paper on how in the end, it is important and necessary, as I would basically not be completing the requirements of the assignment for not answering her question.

Thank you all very, very much for your opinions, ideas, and support, it is all extemely helpful.

No way, I believe you are correct, here is a website that has a lot of info on the subject, there are so many different groups getting involved with service learning that you can't list them all, needless to say alot of people believe it, so do I. http://www.servicelearning.org/what_is_service-learning/service-learning_is/index.php#rsrcs
