I have been dating my girlfriend for 3 years and am looking to pop the question over the Christmas break (we are both college students graduating in may). I could pop the question as soon as she gets off the plane from visiting her mother over Christmas, or I could wait until she gets back and do it somewhere else after a nice dinner.
So my question is:
Where do I ask her?
When should I ask her? (Christmas day is out... she doesn't get back till new years eve)
If I should do the traditional romantic dinner, where should we do it?

Go down to Fountain Square or something. I know that they used to do ice skating down there. Probably not anymore, and if not then you can take her to the festival of lights at the zoo. My boyfriend and I went there for our second year anniversary and it was really sweet. Maybe you can talk to them there and even plan something out. Maybe they'll play your song on the ice rink or do something fun with the lights. Either way, the festival of lights is a very sweet idea. Just do it late at night when there's fewer kids around.

wait until the Steelers are in town again... Next year. As soon as the Steelers spank them cats then propose... Oh wait.. never mind, that won't be that special since it happens once a year in Cincy at Heinz West Stadium....
