I will take "Arabs" in the largest sense to include all the people who are now called Arabs.
Technology? How about the Archimedes Screw? Archimedes was originally given credit for discovering that method of moving water and materials up an incline, but research has shown that it originated in Assyria, which makes it an "Arab" invention.
Education? Are you kidding? A majority of what we know from the past we know because of the Arabs. When Europe was floundering during the Dark Ages, Arabs had already translated all of the knowledge of the ancient world, adding to it in the areas of mathematics, philosophy, medicine and other literature. The Christians were busy destroying the accumulated knowledge of the ancient world, and "them Arabs" saved it and then graciously shared it with the rest of the world when they finally came to their senses.
Peace? The first legal codes were created by "them Arabs" at a time when Europeans were still tiny disorganized tribes fighting with each other over a few acres of land. At one time, the Arabs controlled a huge chunk of territory, and their empire was a peaceful place where education and the arts flourished. It's also interesting to note that under Islam, Christians and Jews lived in peace with their Arab neighbors because they were specifically protected by The Qur'an.
Oil? Yes, they've given the world oil. What you may not realize is that without their oil, you, too, would starve. Arab oil runs the trucks and airplanes which move your food from where it is harvested to your table. It keeps the world moving, quite literally. Many people think that the US is the only country dependent on foreign oil, but the fact is that most of the world is dependent on it.
I am half-Arab. While my European ancestors were trying to figure out how to grow crops, my Arab ancestors were doing advanced mathematics to track the yield of their crops and the business end of things.
You are, naturally, entitled to your own opinion, but I must warn you that when you fall into the trap of thinking that Arab culture is worthless, all you do is underline how little you know of history. Try educating yourself sometime, instead of indulging in racism. It's a lot more useful and helps keep you from looking like an idiot.

OK, aside from all the other excellent answers, let's try a technology that you probably care about most since it's apparently not reading your history. How about distilled alcohol? Yes, the alcohol distillation process was invented by the Arabs in the 9th century. And before that, the Egyptians invented beer. So the next time you go out and get drunk to forget all that edjumacation you wish you never learned, just remember that it is due to the arabs that you have a wide selection of alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Well, I agree with whoever said this before. Arabs are to thank for nearly everything that we have today. After the fall of the Roman Empire, Europe lost all knowledge of science, mathmatics, medicine, etc. Only the Arab world retained such knowledge, and they greatly improved upon it. The arabs made vast advancements in mathmatics and medicine, which have laid the foundations for much of common knowledge. The European renaissance was a result of the lost Greco-Roman knowledge and the new Arab knowledge being transferred back to Europe. Long story short, the Arab world is to thank for nearly all of modern science. Without it, Europe would have had its Renaissance, and wouldn't have entered the age of exploration. The U.S might not be here today if it weren't for Arabs. Perhaps you should show a little bit more respect.

If it wasn't for the contributions of the Arabs hundreds of years ago, western society would still be trying to figure out how to count those fingers on their hands. Try searching the internet for arab discoveries, theories, patents, trigonometry, algebra and biological facts discovered recently were actually discovered thousand years ago in the Holy Quran. Go ahead, do some research.
Thank you Bronwen for being honest, kind and calm.

Sure they may be a little crazy with all the shouting of the name "Allah" every few hours from the top of their voice, from the mosques and disturbing the peace and tranquility of others but still.

"Them Arabs"? If you're going to be a racist, the least you can do is use correct grammar.
Actually, it's thanks to "them Arabs" that we still have the great works of Plato, Aristotle, and the other Greek philosophers. All of that would have been lost during the 1000 years of the Dark Ages in Europe had it not been for the flowering of Islamic civilization. But you know, whatever.
