I'd recommend getting a 360 Premium or Pro which comes with the 20GB hard drive. I would advise against getting the Arcade model, even though it's cheaper. The main reason I say this is because the Arcade model doesn't include a hard drive, but relies on the included memory card to store game saves. Obviously the hard drive is much larger, so storage is never a problem. The Premium/Pro package also includes the component video cable kit, which is essential if you have a HDTV. While you can purchase these separately, you'll end up spending more than if you just bought the Premium/Pro package in the first place. In addition, that hard drive allows you to purchase games for download from the 360's online store. Depending on the ages of your boys, and your feelings about video game ratings, some of these smaller games may be more suitable for them than, say, Halo3. (They're cheaper too.)
Also, right now, the Pro/Premium package also includes 2 full games: Forza, a racing game, and Marvel Superheroes, which features many of your favorite superheroes, mutants and villains.
Some stores will sell you a bundle which includes the console as described above, along with an extra controller and maybe an extra game or something. Bundles are usually not good deals since they include stuff you really don't want - like an unpopular game or something. However, I would recommend getting a second controller so your kids can play together. In fact, Costco is selling such a bundle right now - the console with the 2 games, and an extra controller. You don't really save any money, but hey, at least it's all together in one large package.

The elite is the same package as the premium except that the elite has a 120 gig hard drive and the premium only has a 20 gig hard drive. If you can afford it, spend the extra $ 100 on the premium. You can fill up the 20 gig hard drive fast if your kids play a lot of games.

Get them the bundal package, you get a harddrive, headset, remote control, wireless controler(get a second one if you have to kids) and the silver package for online which is wortless mainly. Also i think you can get two games but try avoid that because the games that come with counsel suck, so ask your kids which they wanted and get that.
