do some men and women have such a problem with it? I have a couple of friends that think it would be the end of the world if they split up with their spouses, even though they are in bad marriages. I just did not want to be married to her any more so I divorced her, it was very easy. Why is it so hard for people to leave a bad situation? It really made my life easier and much better.

Because some people like being drama kings and queens. I agree with you - why prolong the torture. Just day yes and get it over and done with. Less cost, less headaches, earlier freedom.

It's not always because some people are immature and can't handle it, some are still in love with the person and have not dealt with the hurt from the breakup yet. It is difficult sometimes to face the fact that something is over when you still want to be with the person. Sometimes one person has moved on and ready but the other is taking a bit longer.
Whatever the case it is not always an easy thing to leave what you know even if it is a bad situation and move onto the unknown. But in the end many people find out that the unknown isn't as scare as it seems and they move on finally with ease and get over the situation. Some never do because they can't believe they failed at something. Depends on the person and how they perceived the marriage and their life.

If it wasnt that hard on you then you were not in love with her anymore and ready to move on. Glad you dont the right thing for you. Good luck with the future. The reason some ppl have a hard time with it is because they still love thier spouse, even thro there has been problems. We are human and love is one emotion that you just cant control...

it was probably easy for you because you were ready to move on and accepted the fact your marriage was not going to work out.
some of us know when it's over, and calmly walk away.. others are bitter, immature and like to cause drama... just for spite it seems.

Because a lot of them are more selfish, demanding, and childish. Or they're cheating and that is never a pleasant scene.
