i ***** about how much entertainers/sports figures make but i still tune in & buy people and it bugs me that they pay more for a dress then i make in a year! for one night! are these people setting a good example for our future?

They are not setting a good example, but that's nothing new and their spending habits are by no means the only or best example of the bad examples they set for our future.

If they entertain you I see no harm in tuning in and purchasing what you do. I generally try not to patronize entertainers I don't respect.

There are some I do respect, mainly sports figures, and--while I don't agree with their compensation--I don't blame them for it.

Don't beat yourself up. You aren't the problem. If you ignored them they would still make obscene amounts of money.
