Yes, tired of looking at the stuff even after I wash this tub/shower.
IT's the sides of the acrylic shower that seem real stubborn.
Don't want to look at it anymore + my arms get tired fast from scrubbing because I'm a woman w/weak arms [they are petite, lol] ...
anyway WHAT in the world can I use to soak the junk off b4 I even get started on scrubbing this off??
Thanks

Black and Decker has an electric scrubber that does all the work for you. Don't use Drano, it will scratch the acrylic and give off poisonous fumes.

Don't use Draino it is very costic and will ruin acrylic. If the gunk is hard mineral deposit use CLR, then fabric softener with a little baking soda or Borax. If it is soap scum build up vinegar with a little baking soda or Borax works pretty well. When you get it clean, each time you shower/bathe, spray with "Clean Shower" by Arm & Hammer. This stuff is great. It keeps build up from being able to stick and makes regular cleaning easy. You can also rub the shower/tub with fabric softener before & after cleaning, just be sure to rinse it off the bottom of the tub so you don't slip next time you get in. It smells good too..

Gosh, there are so many products out there that will loosen that tuff gunk. Even household vinegar would be a much better choice than Drano. Drano is lye based and would probably eat your acrylic.

CLR (stands for Calcium, Lime and Rust) works the best IMO. You can also try LimeAway. I've even had success with diluted Surf Laundry Liquid.

Drano is NOT a good way to scrub hard residue off an acrylic shower.

Drano is a product for plumbing-specific problems only.

Read this carefully:

An excellent and safe cleaner for the residue would be ...

CLR Enhanced Bathroom & Kitchen Cleaner.

Good luck!

Try turpentine. Any poison like Draino should be avoided.

Use Tilex and a scrub pad. Let it sit then scrub and rinse.
