I've been single too long, and am getting older to where I cannot attract a nice lady (I'm 40). I'm so lonely! Looking for any last ditch suggestions.

Don't ever think like that. There is more to life than companionship and sex... you've got to find that. And if I find out you've taken you're own life, I will kill myself and haunt you FOREVER!

Don't you know 40 is the new 30?? The best way to attract someone is to get out of your own head and get interested in something around you. There a about a million things you could volunteer for - soup kitchen, Boys Club, coaching, boarder babies, the list goes on and on. Do you go to church? There may be a singles group there. Museums frequently have classes or lectures at little or no cost. Do you like to dance? Sign up for dancing lessons. Usually you don't need a partner and there's bound to be single ladies there.
What do you want in a woman? (Nice is a good start but can you be a bit more specific??) Why not use this time to really identify what you are looking for in a woman so you will not settle for whatever comes along but you have an idea in mind.
Prayer could help, too.
How's your hygiene? Are you taking care of yourself? You want to look presentable when she comes along.
These are just a few suggestions. She may be right around the corner, looking for you. Don't give up now.

Don't look for a girl friend. Look for a female friend. You're still young and I'm sure there are lots of women out there who would love to be your friend. Maybe - you can also go ask friends what's wrong with you and if you need a total make-over.... just a suggestion.

Make your life worthwhile by stopping worrying about it! Join clubs and get out in the community to meet people. By not trying so hard, you'll probably make new friends and might even meet that special someone in the process. Life is VERY worth living without a spouse. 40 is not too old at all. Just hang in there and look for other people to hang with. Join chess...a reading club...a volleyball team. Good luck and keep your chin up.

don't just "settle"....
get out there... join a gym, take a karate class.. if you community has a singles group, join it.... do things with friends -- do lunch or football games (whatever you are into).
and if you join a dating site, make sure it's a paid for one -- like eharmony or something.. those free sites have all sorts of weirdos on them, who can't afford to pay attention... .

Well for one don’t listen to the first two people that answered your question. Finding a woman is a lot like finding a job. Have you got every job you ever apply for? You have to ask lots of women and don’t give up. If you want one she is out there, you just have to ask her. Lots of them may tell you no but they all have their own minds. I know its hard sometimes to ask someone out but just do it anyway, that’s the only way around this and if she says no to bad for her. Your not old your just feel down now but you will get back up again and be on top of the world again. Trust me on this on no bullshite. You have to ask them.

Asian women from foreign countries.Try one of the pen pal sites but always be careful and do not send money. Dont be in a rush or you will end up with one of those women who marry you for just a green card. Get on a plane and visit her many times before you marry her.
