OK, so i know that u can have same-sex hook-ups on the online version of sims, but what about the pc version. does anyone know? i really want to buy this game but i feel like it would be a waste of money if i can't have a SIM that at least somewhat resembles myself. which SIMS PC games offer the same sex option, if any?

You can in the Sims 2, I'm sure, but I'm not completely sure about the original Sims. The Sims 2 is way better than the original Sims anyways, and I suggest you try it out. You can create a character that looks a lot like you, and the clothing/face/house/object/relationship options are a lot better.
Also, the Sims 2 Nightlife lets your Sims go on dates that were way better than the Sims Hot Date :D.
So if you want a game where relationships and the SIms themselves a lot more realistic, buy the 2nd one.

Well, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 both feature a main character (you) and you can choose whether or not you want to be gay by having a relationship with your male companions (Zevran, Anders, Fenris for men) and you can also play as a woman and have a lesbian relationship with some female companions (Leliana, Merill, Isabela) I think the Mass Effect series of games, from the same game creators, also allow you to be gay/lesbian/bisexual. Also, games like Fable (1, 2, and 3) allow you to be L/G/B/T if you want, you can even adopt a kid. Or dress up as the opposite gender throughout the whole game! LOL even when you're fighting Werewolves...

Yes you can have same sex relationships in both versions of the game (sims and sims2) but i suggest Sims 2, it has alot more than the first one.

The Sims are horny little buggers and they will hook up with each other willy nilly regardlless of gender. There are no love interactions for kids but other then that it's Katie-bar-the -door. That being said you can direct your sim to pay attention to specific individuals but don't be suprised if it develops feelings for some sim of the other gender

Yes you can have same sex relationships on sims 2 PC, and they can be married.

The PC versions DO allow same-sex couples, as far as I remember. (( I had to delete mine. My system wasn't able to handle the game well. ))
If it doesn't, I'm sure ModTheSims2, has a mod/hack for it.
If I remember correctly, they can get married to, except it's called a...union?

Yes You can, and better that in the old games, where you had some ways to handle same sex.
