i need to get rid of alot of junk and want to have yard sale. do i need a permit?

I don't think so. I believe the only time you'd require a permit was if you were selling things from a business in your yard or on a street corner. Garage sales are not a problem as far as I know.

You need permits and tax forms to pay taxes on what you sell.
