I'm a freshmen, in junior high.
I currently hold a 3.75 GPA (for my 1st quarter grade)
I'm in two clubs.. GSA(gay straight alliance) and
Global citizens.
My cluster classes include Yearbook, Art, Spanish and Geography.
For Yearbook, GSA, and global citizens i'm the highest in the class..(advertising editor).
I want to do something with movies and film.
and UCLA is simply the best school for me.
What are some more ways to make my GPA go up..
and ways for me to STAND out in terms of college applications..
THANK YOU.

It is still very early, and a lot can happen in four years. For one thing, you haven't yet taken your SATs, and they will be very important in determining whether or not you can get in. The 3.75 probably won't get you in, but there is still plenty of time to increase your grades. As a faculty member at another university with a film school, my sense is that you will have to find some film-related activities in order to get in. Keep in mind that if UCLA is already extremely difficult to get into, the Film School is even harder. They are more likely to admit someone who had actually been involved in film, rather than someone who just thinks it might be fun.

take honors classes now and in high school, they make your gpa go up more because you get extra points. also when you go to high school take ap courses, which are general education requirments for college.
