Theories on what caused the Bang are, of course, untestable, at least at present. I rather liked the bubble in the timespace matrix, myself, but the colliding universes has a certain romantic appeal. As for other universes stretching to infinity. Why not? Can a proof be offered to the contrary?

Well, I think that's the prediction of M theory or Superstring theory, right?
I basically, am a believe in the fundamentals of string theory, and the new superstring theory, or M theory. But for now, we have to find some tell tale sign that string theory exist, such as the hunt for S particles, or further still, to observe gravity leaving our universe, which proof that parallel universe does exist, and that gravity is the only matter that is capable of leaving a universe's membrane
Before we can proof that, not many will believe in that parallel universe theory.
I think for now, standard model only explains till a certain time after the big bang, but there's no explaination at the beginning of it, where time = 0.

No one knows what caused the big bang, but scientists think they know what happened all the way back to the first seconds after the big bang.
The brand new universe was very hot and very small. It blew outwards very fast. In the first three minutes, matter started to form. Hundreds of years later, the universe looked like a big ball of fire.

No, parallel universes would have been created from the big bang also.
And I believe God made the big bang.

pressure caused the big bang, and there are no parallel universes, ( you will have to trust me on this one). it may have happened before and it may happen again, but not in our lifetime.

It may be possible. Nobody can really tell. All we have are theories because nobody was there when the Big Bang happened.
