less than 1/2 an orbit ....it has an orbital period of approx 250 yrs, and was discovered around 1930 , so 77 yrs ago....
it has gone about ... 77 / 250 = 0.31 or 31% of it's orbit since it's official 'discovery' ....

It hasn't. Pluto's orbital period is about 250 years, and it was discovered less than 100 years ago, in 1930.
(Why someone here thinks it has an orbital period of 8 years and was discovered in the 1600s escapes me. No planets at all were discovered in the 1600s, as everything out to Saturn was visible to the naed eye and had been known for millennia, and Uranus wasn't discovered until the 1700s, and no planet in the solar system has an orbital period of 8 years.)

about 44 times. Pluto orbits the sun every 8 years and since it was discovered in 1649, comes to 44 and some change.
