So my friend is turning 17 and he is a low key guy. He doesnt want the whole world to know its his special day. His other best friend is having his dad get him out of the house while she makes him dinner, so it will be a surprise dinner at his own house from her. I on the other hand, need to do something way, way better. so here is my idea...He like starbucks, chipotle, and cheesecake factory. So we get out of school early on the day of his birthday. I was thinking of sending him on a "treasure hunt" with me in the car, but he only can ask me for help 5 times. I would start with giving him clues to get him to chipotle, then once there...he would recieve clues to another place and there find another thing, until we ended up at the cheesecake facorty with his presents, where i would buy him dinner. So along the way he would get git cards to all the places we went and so on...is this a good idea? to cheesy? difficult? help!!! please and thank you!!! :]

Sounds like a good idea, but be careful that you don't make it too complicated. I would start by checking to see if the employees at these places would be able to help you out on the day of his birthday.

I think it's a great idea, except for the one little hitch that the other friend is already giving him the gift of a meal. You may want to save this present for next year, so as not to spoil his appetite. Otherwise, it sounds like a lot of fun!

Good luck !

Yes, that is a good idea. I would like if someone did this for my birthday. Go ahead and do it. Have fun. I hope he has a happy birthday.

Cute idea, but it's the same gift. Do something other than dinner.

dis is a good idea bcuz it could get his mind off of thinking bout any surprise party his family or friends might plan 4 him....it would cheer him up and it would tell him dat u actually cared bout him......

so your trying to take him to dinner on the same night that his other friend already planned to cook him dinner... sounds like your being selfish... dont do that
