Yes it does annoy me a lot. I mean when they do an answer using that spelling then I am not going to take them seriously because they don't even have the education level of a 5 yr old. When they ask a question like that they tend to just get responses of "learn to spell" or the like. I don't know why they think its cool. Personally I read books and know how to spell. If a book was written like that it would be turned into toilet paper!!!

I have to say it drives me up the freaking wall when people can't use language skills, or further don't have them. About the only "misspelling that doesn't irritate me is Toys R Us. I think that internet "cool" bad spelling and grammar is the worse offense. Wear, were and where are significantly different words. Wot and wat are not words, neither is shure and for that matter neither is Krazy or Kozy.

Thanks for the question!

Yes, it does. When I was in school we were taught to spell correctly. It was an attribute at one time. Also since I have started looking at this Answers page I have learned that very few people know how to spell anymore.

It always makes me want to give a rude or sarcastic answer.
Obviously they don't want an intelligent answer or they would spend the effort to make it readable to people who are educated in things like grammar and spelling.

Absolutely! I think this text messaging will change some English words. Ironically, many words are like shorthand.

I'm afraid that texting is causing kids to spell wrong.

They write u for you....r for are...and they never capitalize the first word of a sentence.

I guess that things have to be so fast now. It's not good.

Great question! For that, my friend, you get a star!! :)

Yes it does. For me, it shows lack of education.

Yes, in my opinion, it makes them appear ignorant and too lazy to learn to type properly. Just my opinion, though. :)
