His strength is his service and subsequent captivity in Vietnam.
His strengths used to be his ability to work in a bi-partisan way and was one of the few senators to be respected on both sides of the aisle.
His weakness is that he has sold out to the Republican party and is no longer "the maverick" everybody loved and wanted.
His other weakness is the same tunnel vision Bush has regarding the middle east. I don't understand it at all.

He's for open borders which is pretty obvious to everyone. He shovels 9/11 propaganda too and he has been exposed on many other things. I used to like John McCain, but he totally is bought and paid for now. Bottom line is that he is a unellectable traitor to America.
His only strength is that, aside from Ron Paul, he is the only politician that actually served, but he is a hawk now and has been bought out by AIPAC.

His greatest strength seems to be that he can get re-elected over and over again. His weakness is that he is a RINO - Republican in name only.
