Go to the county recorder (vital statistics department), and ask. If he was married out of the county or state is gets a little harder.

Do a background check on him that should pull up any records. There are plenty of companies to do the background on him just do a yahoo search.

Maybe do one on her too...

What country are you in now and what country were you married in? Knowing those two will help to answer your question.
If you think he is a loser and a cheater, then file for a divorce in the country that you were married in. You might be able to do it in the mail.
Lastly, you could go online, pay a little money to have a professional background check on him. It's far cheaper than a private investigator.

For a person to get remarried, he/she must prove they are divorced; show the divorce paper at the time they are filing for a wedding license.
Have you consulted with your lawyer about this issue? I hope you have a legal separation via a lawyer.
I think the most that he would do right now is: change his will, and take you off as a beneficiary on other legal documents. Also drop you from his medical insurance.
Important: again see your lawyer.
ps....make sure you are not legally responsible for any of his debts while you are separated.
********You added: you got married in another country....Get in touch with the Embassy in that country.*******************

Have someone call his house to conduct a phone survey for XYZ Survey Company & an immediate chance to win an LCD 42" HDTV after taking a 30 second survey (it's all a ruse anyway to get the info). Don't try calling his house yourself, just in case your husband answers the phone! Get someone he won't ever know & script a standard 30-second survey set of questions. They can find out all kinds of things using that ruse like: the number of people living in the residence & their ages & relationship to each other (married, engaged, single, friends, other relatives, etc.); working status, citizenship, income level, children, etc.

Good luck!

Any court house will have that on records. Or see if any of your state or federal law enforcement have public background checks available for a small fee, TN does. Whatever country you were married in, check and make sure and check the net sometimes they have marriage records on line for whatever state or country.

He can't legally marry someone else why u are still married! Not in the US anyway!

In the USA he has to show proof his is married you before you could possibly come here to live permanently. So he could not marry anyone else until the divorce is final.

Check with the county he lives in - it's public record.

its a matter of public record but you need to know where it would have happened. check with the local government or hire a private detective

Ok, he can't marry anyone anymore if you are still married. even if he does it is a felony. So, nothing can happen to your legal issues. Even if you filed papers for divorce, he still can't remarry until the final decision.
why do you want to be married to him anyway?
