The same way a grownup deals with ignorance anywhere else. Confront it - like a grownup, and then let it go. You can't control what other people think. If, on the other hand, it becomes something they DO, that is actionable, and you should approach the prevailing authority with the issue.

Are you ignorant or is someone else ignorant?
If it is you, get training on the job or find some training or just quit. If someone you work with is ignorant, tell the manager if it seems like something serious enough to cause the company problems. If it just annoys you, try to get along, because ignorance is everywhere, my friend. And if the manager seems or is ignorant, find another job, because you will become a discipline problem or you will end up doing his or her job for them. If the customers are ignorant, you need to remain calm and rpatient and espectful - because any other response is just immature.

Don't sweat it. you're only there to get a paycheck. If an employee is ignorant but it doesn't effect you, just let him be, if he's ignorant and it's messing up your work, (I.E. delivering wrong reports, forgetting something you asked him to do, etc) just make sure that the higher ups know it was his fault, and let them deal with the problem.

If you're th boss, however, make sure to set the person straight, and tell them if they don't do a better job, they can be replaced. If they fail to change, replace them. Simple as that.

If it is affecting your job performance in a negative way, report it to your supervisor or HR.

You cannot fight all ignorance, that is part of the human condition.

You will most likely have to ignore a lot of it, to the best of your ability.

Good luck.
