What a great question...

I thought I was destined to be a great career person. By 26 years of age people were willing to pay me in excess of a million dollars a year for my ideas and talent; I then got pregnant.

Oh my God. I knew how to deal with business, contracts, etc., but a baby? I didn't even know how to change a diaper. I had dreams about this baby. EVERYONE in the business world told me, "Are you crazy, get an abortion; you make too much money to give up your career, and for what, a kid?"

To no avail, I did not give up. I knew, for some reason, I was to have this baby. I cried, oh God I cried, every day, I was so frightened. And then, he came. 14 hours of hard labor--the doctor thought he would have to break my pelvic bones to get him out--

To make a long story short...God promised me that if I had faith and I had this baby, I would not regret it.

Needless to say, my son is better than billions of dollars. My son is my every day, I live for that boy; what a blessing, what a joy--the wind beneath my wings. Thank you for your question.

I can´t pass this question coz I always tell my hubby that´s what he is to me, in fact, when we had our 15yr wedding anniversary I recorded a tape for him with some very special songs that said the things I would like to tell him and surely this was one of them:

The wind beneath my wings
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You’ve been content to let me shine
You always walked a step behind

I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
Only a face without a name
I never once heard you complain

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I’d like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
’Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I've got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth
I would be nothin’ without you

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I’d like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
’Cause you are the wind beneath my wings
You are the wind beneath my wings

My dad was that person for me. I had that song played at his funeral. And cried like a baby! Still do when I hear that song, but good tears! Now my children create the ebb and flow of the wind that buoys my spirit!

I have many people. It's nice because "teams share the burden and divide the grief". I don't have to depend on one person to lift me when I need it...I have a few options. So, in answer to your question: my husband, best friend, and three coven sisters.
