Being sexy and being attractive are two different things. Unattractive people can be sexy. Attractive people and fail miserably at being sexy.

Being sexy is about grace, knowing what turns people on from a biological standpoint (and putting it into action), confidence, and being comfortable within your own skin.

For example:

If you've ever watched a supermodel dance you'll notice that while she is incredibly good looking most often she'll look awkward dancing and not even remotely sexy.

Then if you were to watch The Thomas Crown Affair (1999 one) Rene Russo, while not the best looking, pulled off sexy.

Well, for starters, sexy is, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder. For example, I can see that Brad Pitt is an extremely handsome man, but to me he isn't sexy at all. On the other hand, I think James Remar, famous for playing bad guys, is one of the sexiest men I have ever seen. Let's be honest, he isn't nearly as handsome as Pitt, but I'd pick him over Pitt any day of the year. That's just because sexy is subjective.

The other important component in sexy, however, and I think this is quite a large part, is that the person has to be comfortable in their own skin and be confident. I honestly don't know anyone who finds low self-esteem appealing, except for users who are looking for people who aren't confident so they can use them or get them into bed or whatever. And that actually isn't a matter of them being sexy--it's more a matter of a bad person seeing a weakness and exploiting it for their own benefit.

And by the way, here are photos of the two men I referenced above so you can see for yourself the difference I am talking about.

Pheromones! That elusive little scent that some people have in an abundance that makes them stand out as more then just beautiful. Because a person can be physically pretty or handsome, but some people just seem to have that extra "sparkle." Call it natures perfume! ♥

appeal what appeals to you might not to me. and then some are just plain hot and don't even no it. and some that think they are are just plain skank. so i guess it is kind of like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. huh

But i read somewhere that the human mind likes to go for a much "simpler" face which is what can make you attracted to them. Not sure how true that is...

Yep.
However, there is a slight margin here. Some guys and girls *are* downright ugly. Sexiness is actually a measure of how fertile a woman or man is...to create sexual attraction and facilitate a kid. ;P
