I was just remembering ICP opening for Coal Chamber... boy that was a bad idea.

Marilyn Manson with Slayer opening up for them, lol. NIN with Courtney Love was also a match made in Hell. Even she couldn't ruin that tour, that was a great show. Unfortunately, I have an idea what Trent was thinking back then and it ain't pretty.

MachPen - You think Bjork still has that Swan whatchamacallit in her closet?

Spooky - ICP with any reputable rock band is a horrendous idea. They are one of the most underrated bands in terms of how bad they are.

Huevo - I wasn't in attendance at Lolla #2, but speaking as a fellow testosterone-driven cretin in spirit, I love Lush. That would be another band that I wish would give it another go. Enough time has passed Miki.

I'm on the same line of thought as MachPen, except the Houston show had The Pixies instead of The 'Cubes with PE and U2. (Not as odd as that combo, but still strange. I can hear Flavor Flav now, 'Show'em what you got Bjork, show'em what you got!) God I love Public Enemy.

The other strange one was at the 2nd Lollapalooza. I don't see how Lush played to the testosterone-driven cretins who were out there for Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ice Cube, Ministry, and the Chili Peppers.

Edit: Rckets, haha, I'm not singling myself out from that stereotype one bit. Actually it was pretty mellow as they were the opening act and the majority of the crowd had not arrived yet. I absolutely agree with you, I'd really like to see them rejoin at least for a tour. I caught them in a small club as well and they put on a great set both times.

And I could not agree more. The clowns (literally and figuratively) from ICP should be put down and the circus closed. Look up the world's worse band in Encyclopedia Britannica and you'll see them there.

Fall Out Boy,Cute Is What We Aim For,Plain White T's,Gym Class Heroes..I understand all of them are on the same record label but all the bands after Fall Out Boy are too good to be on tour with Fall Out Boy.They should just do the tour without Fall Out Boy.

I saw Neil Young & Crazy Horse as the headliner with Social Distortion and Sonic Youth as the guest bands in '89. I could kinda see Sonic Youth as a prelude to Crazy Horse but the Social Distortion angle really threw me. Great show!!!

The first concert I ever went to was really an oddball when I look back on it. Chad & Jeremy as the headliner with none other than Alice Cooper as the guest band. Even though it was 1971 it was pre-"Love It To Death" and nobody had heard of him yet, I myself thought 'Alice' was a girl prior to the show, how wrong I was and I've been a fan of AC ever since!

Good Charlotte recently toured with Justin Timberlake. I have NEVER understood that. A pop-punk band and an r&b act? I don't get it.
Oh, and The Rollins Band opened up for Sheryl Crow. Don't get that either.

Back in the late 80's, Cinderella opening up for Judas Priest. It just made you sit there and think "which one of these is not like the other?"

When The Coors opened for the Rolling Stones. I didn't think they were that bad, but the 20,000 drunk/high middle aged men couldn't control their hormones long enough to listen to the music.

Yeah - back in the mid 90's (when I was in high school) U2 toured with Public Enemy and the Sugar Cubes -- that was weird. I was there, of course, to catch the cubes ~ what was I thinking? lol

Rckets: Not sure, but I bet the RSPCA is over it by now ;)
