I know he was that symbol for a while, but I'm not sure if that was a royalty promotion or demotion.

He is King! Who else can survive the 80's, rock the 90's and stay relevant with tweens, teens and everyone else in the millennium. Symbol or just plain "Prince", alll hail the King!

His longevity from day one (yes, folks, well before
his 1983 pop-arrival) has proven out, in a most,
"in-most-everyone's-faces"...all the naysayers
back then I remember, and yet, lookit 'im now!

He toured with the Stones, Before he was huge.
Mick's no dummy.

AND: FastFwd to a recent SuperBowl. Was I
the ONLY one who had actually noticed his
Flawless and World-Class Performance?
In the rain no less!!!

If only I'd taped it. Believe me when I write,
"Jimi Hendrix himself would've been moved."

King though? Uh, nawp, there's only BB.
