What I REALLY need is nonfiction books that are speculating on the possibilities, not the obvious such as Terminator...

Peter, Religion books are considered nonfiction as well as books speculating on Extra Terrestrials. It just has to be a book that explains the possibilities. A book can describe possible outcomes without being a story. Online articles do it all the time. They are not considered fiction.

You should read Raymond Kurzweil's "The Age of Spiritual Machines" and "The Age of Intelligent Machines"

I fail to see how you can be both non-fiction and speculative. Most science fiction books will deal with theoretical (i.e. speculative) possbilities, but because it can't be done now there is no non-fiction to it.
