Does it need the water more than the greenery? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As4iUvUdAJwm3ZFKWBjq6Ivsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071124020908AA3NDAx&show=7#profile-info-YALlJatBaa

The “Atis,” the Water & the Greenery

In this lush setting that is YAP
a knight stumbled upon an “atis” tree
as the moonlight shone brightly…
Love’s unleashed. Insatiable.
Thirst. Desire.
A need to be slaked…
Raindrops fell.
Water
Kissing the “atis” tree,
Fragrance blooms…
Delicate. Exquisite.
The knight just looked away
as the imagery dissolved
and receded into the night…
Even then, the moonlight was enveloped
by the clouds, obscuring his view...
And he was left with only the stars
shining down on him.

Edit:
To Aref: Why would you give me all the fruits of your atis tree when they may be laden with aphids?

Also, I have thought of a continuation to the above poem:
...And he was left with only the stars
shining down on him
and the "mangos-yen" and "che-ko" trees
sprouting.

Thank you for this Question.

As Battgirl and Aguadulce said, it is passe.

But had Kahlan given her poem earlier, I would have given her ALL the fruits of my atis tree. Now, I think I am fixated on the "calamansi", and whether or not I could challenge The Lady Karengkeng to a drinking bout, with only the Philippine Lemon as appetizer.

The atis is history now, I think you have to watch out for the new "a million calamansi questions".

As fas as I know, our atis tree needs no extra tending. Just let the rain water it and just sweep the dried leaves off and you're done =)

Sweetie, our knight is just fixated with his atis tree right now. Not to worry, he'll snap out of it soon enough...hahaha...yeah, as soon as the season is over. After all, he wouldn't be needing a Christmas tree all year long. Right now though, he has bigger problems - ridding his computer of those bugs that just mysteriously appeared yesterday.

It's Aref's favorite tree and all he ever thinks about or cares about. I can imagine what this tree looks like...maybe more festive than a christmas tree with all the ripened fruits serving as christmas decor.

The atis tree needs AREF more than water or the greenery.

We are all invited to AREF's atis orchard when he comes home.
