Space suits use a pressure lower than atmospheric in order to minimize the risks associated with the use of pure oxygen, suit leaks and fit/flexibility. The lower pressure makes the suits more flexible adding too Astronaut safety and productivity. There are several citations posted ranging from 4.0 psi to 4.7psi but all cite the use of pure Oxygen in the suits vs conventional atmospheric conditions in the Shuttle cabin.
