No....but I would say that The Beatles were the first "boy band" ever! The best boy band? Sure. Definitely the biggest! Nobody could get 12 year old girls screaming like the did while singing the most sickeningly sappy teen bubble gum pop in the history of POP music!
With songs like the following......
yesterday
she loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
love, love me do
I want to hold your hand
and I love her
can't buy me love
yellow submarine
all you need is love
WHY are they considered a "rock" band? Sure they had some mildly rock'n tunes but for the most part they were all pop!

There is absolutely no way to scientifically prove whether The Beatles are the best band ever or not. To say either way would be an opinion or an abstract item. Pure science is only able to prove whether a concrete question or methodology is correct or not.
Now the rest of question revolves around what you mean by the best. Is it most popular, most creative, most influential, the list can go on and on...........

It depends what you mean by best band ever. If you're merely talking about musical quality, then The Beatles are your favorite band, but then there would be no "best" band ever. If you had a more objective case, it's a possibility, since they were influential to rock and had a big impact on pop culture and society.

They were the greatest band ever. There all sorts of bands as great as the Beatle Musically and all. Theres Led Zeppelin and many more. Great can mean so many things. They are a great band lets just leave it to that. All these great bands are great and still are great we love them we hate them, but there music stays the same no matter what people say. The Beatles are the Beatles and Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin not just some pop sell ups or whatever, they are who they are and they are great for it.

I'm going to have to say no. Personally I think the Beatles are overrated and too many people have this crazy following of them. They have some good songs but other songs are just crap. Just like any other band. They're average at best.

I don't know what "best band" is supposed to mean, and music is a matter of taste - hard to prove or disprove that statement. BUT:
They were good musicians (McCartney was a great bass player, George good lead player Lennon a great rhythm guitar player and no matter what people say about Ringo, he knew how to play the right thing at the right time), very good signers, song writers and arrangers, worked with a great producer, George Martin, and were innovative in the studio, pushed boundaries, and absorbed wide influences and incorporated them into their music. They had a huge influence on everything that came after them -- not to mention they were a great live rock n roll band that came from playing 12 hours a day for weeks in Germany.
Tones of great guitar tones too.
Certainly no one since then has had as big an impact musically.

The figures speak for themselves...every record book concerning bands has them selling the most per capita by far...to answer this question one had to be there when they happened...there is NOTHING to compare since...everyone knows their individual names....how many bands can you do that with...they influenced culture and styles like no one before or since...As musicians even they will admit they were not the best...but as composers, singers (how many bands had three successful singers) and cultural phenomea no one touches The Beatles...So if this is what you mean by best band...they led all the rest...and to prove it? All their peers and successors looked up to the top of the mountain to measure what succes is....and at the peak...always The Beatles...always.

They were extremely good and influenced a lot of bands around today, but The Beatles never have been my favorite band.

YES! The Beatles are the best band. I love how their music progresses from very simple to SO complex during their careers. They have so many great songs... not one song is bad. They not only produced beautiful music, but they made movies and all had successful solo careers. The Beatles will never be forgotten! Thanks, John, Paul, George, and Ringo... for giving us with the best music possible! RIP- George and John! <333
