I have a 1985 Subaru GL-10 wagon that has started running rough once my speed gets up to about 35 mph. I'm suspecting the fuel filters (there are two). I bought replacements, but I've searched the engine and I can't find the old ones. Where are they?

I would love it if someone could point me to a link with illustrations of the fuel filter locations.

Here's a website for online repair info:

You'll find the exact location of the fuel filters-photos and diagrams are available in this site. Hope this works for you.

engine compartment, driver's side, just in front of the master cylinder. just behind the strut tower if i remember correctly. but on an 85, that would be a carburated engine, so i am thinking around the rear end......
