Immigration now, gay marriage last time, affirmitive action before that.

I have to say you sound confused. That makes a lot of people angry, but just because you don't pay attention doesn't mean you should lash out without the facts.
1. Gay marriage is a state level problem, not a federal problem. The president doesn't have any say in it. And aside from that, the Repulican candidates this round are mostly pro gay marriage. Yay! not.
2. The war makes perfect sense. First go read up about how the stock market works and then understand how it is very voiltile. Then read about the world economy and understand how dependant the world has become on oil. You need oil for plastic, KY Jelly, cars, boats, Vasaline, etc... think how many people would be out of work if the oil stopped flowing. Everyone. Then think about the chaos if there were no oil. I'm not saying there shouldn't be alternatives, but you need an alternate world economy, not just fuel. That's complicated.
3. George Bush is currently being ridiculed for not deporting illegals if you haven't noticed. He wants to naturalise them. That being said, most lower class conservatives don't want illegals because that's taking a job away from a legal citizen and giving to someone who's breaking the law. Is that fair? I think they have an arguement. On the other hand, rich conservatives love illegals as they will work so cheap, so you can't say across the board, conservatives hate illegals.
4. You should look into Bill Clintons past and realise he pushed a bill about making marriage issues a federal law and making sure it was defined only as between a man and a woman. He also doubled the prison population over his 2 terms from 1 million to 2 million in 8 years! Sounds a little "conservative" that minimum sentencing bit.

You clearly dont live anywhere near the border. Well I do in southern ca. Come look at the overcrowded schools that have to focus a huge amount of the budget on esl programs. Or come visit the ERs around here at night, well the ones that can still afford to stay open. Walk down the street with a bunch of guys standing their waiting for work to come along while they holler names at you. Take a trip down to a park on a holiday and see the immense amount of trash lying around from large groups of I am sure many of them illegals thinking trash cans are a foreign concept, or visit a rest stop on the way down to San Diego. Get hit by an uninsured driver here illegally.

Now combine all those things, plus the hardly any english spoken when you are shopping, the checker person at the grocery store ignoring you and speaking spanish to the bagperson, and much much more and you will get an understanding of what its like living near the border.


Immigration never use to be from south of the border. It was still mostly european until the last half of the 20th century. Now its a free for all for anyone to come, ignore our laws and try to force us to change our culture.

I have NO issue with a guest worker program, but build the dang wall and get rid of ALL benefits for illegals and no more citizenship by birth. Then the ones that are only here to work will be here and the rest will stay home.



oh I forgot to add the increase of crime and gangs, majority of major felons in LA are guess what, illegals.

I was a Charles Barkley fan until he made that stupid comment. No country can survive if it's borders aren't controlled. Why should my tax dollars support health care for ILLEGAL immigrants? Why should my tax dollars go to give ILLEGAL immigrants in state tuition at colleges/universities? Why should my tax dollars be used to do anything for someone that came into OUR country without permission, and then demand the same rights and privileges that natural born citizens and naturalized citizens receive?
BTW, it's not only conservatives that are concerned with illegal immigration, as I recall, there was a large number of democrats that were against the "comprehensive immigration bill".

Conservation is a form of survival. Those nations that allow immigration without any restrains eventually are over-whelmed by the immigrants. Would you allow strangers into your house and take over your family's property? People who are conservative want to maintain what may be considered old America which was built largely by whites and with some slave labor from the black folks.

Many true conservatives have opposed the war in Iraq. Find out about it. In fact they are vehemently opposed to the war. Only the Neo-conservatives (read jewish conservatives or some of their protestant Christian supporters) support the war, as their loyalty is strongly in favor of Israel and they saw Iraq as a grave threat to Israel. If not, Iraq was no threat to America and Saddam was not a religious zealot in any case. It is an irony that Saddam's demise in fact strengthened the religious among Muslims.

I am myself an immigrant, see it is unfair for some to bypass the laws, when it took me many years of processing and legal expense to get my citizenship. It is somewhat unfair to allow any and all including many criminals from other nations entering your country to avoid jails in their own lands.

However, I do appreciate the opportunity to immigrate to countries whose resources are under-tapped.

Notice in your question itself you say why are they obsessed with ILLEGAL immigration. No conservative will oppose legal Immigration, at least not yet.

In due time, in my view and observation there will be a great resistance that is developing in America against immigrants due to the uncontrolled immigration supported by the democrats and the neo-cons, who have always feared that the white majority may to turn to fascism. Non-white immigrants are thus a sort of "insurance" against that happening.

In contrast most neo-conservatives who are so supportive of even illegal immigration to the United States, do not even support the return of people born in Palestine to return to Israel, where they were turned into refugees, and support the immigration of Jewish folks from all over to Palestine, while uprooting the natives and abusing. In a way they are consistent in their support of immigration.

When the Jewish folks immigrate to Palestine, they strengthen Judaism. When others immigrate to gentile nations, they weaken the gentile nation, so it strengthens Judaism. Whereas they would never support Arabs immigrating to Israel, even those whose families were born in Palestine.

So, ultimately fair is fair!! What do you say?

Why... We pay! We pay for the hospital bills and police protection. WE PAY for their education. WE PAY, while they ride for free. Immigrates do not pay taxes, they usually work under the table for cash. This free trip is on OUR tab. Who pays... the American TAX PAYER = You work, you pay with taxes. Taxes are taken out of our checks, from things we buy, the roads we travel and the homes we own. TAXES!! Its not "America" We are America we are the government. When the babies are born in America they qualify for food-stamps, free medical, and free education. Why leave. It's better to be on government assistance in the US than living in Mexico or any other 3rd war country. You and I pay for these "free" services. We are the Government! Get involved, understand who writes the laws, who represents you. If you choose not to vote than you don't have any right to ***** about the system. Yes I am Republican ! You work you get rewarded with a paycheck. Yes, I believe you should help when your down on your luck not a life time. Shame on you for bashing Republicans. Okay first of all with the whole illegal immigration thing keep in mind that resources ARE taken from you on a daily basis to accomodate illegals...such as hospital care. Why should they just come in the easy way and get all the same services you get yet not pay taxes? I don't mind if people immigrate here but they need to do it the right way! And just because you don't agree with our viewpoints doesn't mean that we're wrong....thats the problem with liberals...you think that your view points should be expressed at all times yet the opinions of conservatives should be stifled simply because you don't agree with them
