I have been married to my thread wife now for 13 + years. I define a happy marriage as someone that I look forward to being with and look forward to seeing even after all this time. She is also the first person I have when I have a problem and she calls me first.

A happy marriage is like a gift that you receive, from a source or person that you did not expect. It is something that you appreciate for what it is, not what you want it or expect it to be, but for that it came to you as it is, in truth and honesty and simplicity, for that is the nature of love.

A man and a woman that are committed to each other unconditionally; they respect each other and genuinely care for each other.
A man and a woman that are content and enjoying each others' company in spite of the circumstances (good or bad) surrounding them.
Happiness is found within, it doesn't depend of the world outside of self.

My friend was married for 65 years and when I asked him what was the secrete this was his reply and the best advice anyone could give a person who is getting or just got married.

He said this, "You only have to remeber two things." Of course, I wanted to know what they were and here they are.

(1) Never forget to say, I'm sorry!
(2) Never forget to say, I was wrong!

Best advice my man you will ever get, trust me!!

Mine. Okay seriously. A happy marriage consists of some basic things. Honesty and Communication being the most important. I always put my husband above myself. He always puts me above himself. We are best friends, sounding boards for each other, we are lovers, pals, flirts. and a lot of other things.
