Another game full of shots (46). Another flawless OT. And shut the door in the SO. Does this kid have ice water in his veins or what? He stands up big and bars the door when the game is on the line. Has he made a believer out of you yet?

I know after Fleury we all may be a little gun shy about getting excited over rookie goalies but I do believe this kid has never changed despite the added pressures of jumping from level to level. And yes Chris, there are some great rookies this year (we're not talking draft picks here) we're talking first year players. This race will be way better than the Ovie/Sid duel a few years back. So how long before the Habs give him regular work?

2eighty8 - I'm with you on that. I think to rebuild there has to be a total meltdown first and frankly it's overdue. Why haven't the Leafs had good rookies since Wendal or Britt Selby?

Sure LITY. This is one great rookie your Hawks can't have. Stop being so greedy.

LITY: There are two guys I have been nonstop crazy about since the season started: Toews and Price. I can't give the Hawks all my column space. What would the others say?

I watched him in the world junior tourney and thought it was only a matter of time. Thought it might be a longer time than this though. Looked good, didn't he?

I'm glad I traded Demitra for this guy on my fantasy team (coincidentally, Demitra was put on the IR for a groin injury right after I traded him!). I should be shamed for saying this, but once I came home and found out Price was in net, I was cheering for the Habs during the shootout. But, I guess it's a good thing I want the Leafs to lose because i'ts "tough love" to get rid of Fergo.

Maybe. But did you see the footage of the Leafs morning practice before the shootout started? I think a one-legged chimp could have stopped some of those shots.

Chris: Um, don't count Toews and Kane out yet. They have mad skills... MAD SKILLS. You just wait...

And you're just so used to watching the Leafs pathetic goaltending that Price looks like a god. j/k ;)

Ooooooh! I forgot. I met Carey Price! Ok... I didn't meet him.. I "mildly" stalked him. He was at one of the piper things my sister does in the summer. Glenn Healy was there too.

Now what is Montreal doing giving up that many shots? You're gonna wear down the kid before you really need him.

Good game, Mr. Price.

Darren: A little early with the HOF voting. This guy hasn't even completed a full season.

Mike: Your begging is just pathetic.

I was a believer before he even suited up for my Habs. Watching him play junior hockey - and his performance at the last WJC - was a pretty good indication of both his skill and the fact that he's very cool under pressure.

I was happy to see him come through after that late goal in regulation, because the Habs really needed that victory.

Why dont we call him Calder?

If i had to choose between Kane, Toews, gagne and Price...

It would be Price easily.

It's not everyday we see a rookie goaltender come in, and be so amazing, so calm, so great.

This is defenetly a season to remember, for all the rookies, Dirty Hits, and the record the leafs are going to set for most losses in a season.

The kid played very well. The only problem that I have is that I don't think the Leafs had any traffic in front of him the whole night. Did you see their powerplay? It was a damn pentagon with everybody on the outside. It's no wonder they can't score goals.

i believed before he started and i believed even more when i saw him play his 1st game in the nhl, especially winning against a team like the peguins who have someone like sidney crosby. he is calm and has a good style of play, i think huet could learn from that cuz right now price is looking like a sure shot and huet has had very good and awful games. and i don't know if it's only me but it seems like when huet is in goal the team does not play as well as when price is in goal!!!!!! they look like they have more will to play and more energy...
