You did the right thing, and I'm glad your safe. Kids can be real mean but Karma (what goes around comes around) is real. So if your doing the right thing your future will be good in the long run, I've seen it, I never believed it until I saw where everyone is at that I knew 10 years ago. Its pretty wild.

Try to walk home with other people though so your not alone.

If you don't have a lot of friends, find a new direction/safer direction/ or see if a family member can give you a ride.

Best Wishes,
Its soo good to hear about a teenager making a good choice : )

when you are young you may feel that it is important to establish that no one can touch you. but, as you get older, you realize that walking away really is the best thing you could do. If you remember nothing else from this answer, remember this. Always keep a cool head. It is hard to access every situation, but somethings are just not worth it because nothing good really comes from it What would have happened if you went over there. you could have gotten beat up and that is bad. you could have hurt one of them and that may seem good, but would that escalate into something that would have you and these kids in constant confrontations. You absolutely did the right thing; and you showed you are the more mature of all of them. And don't let anyone tell you different. there is nothing wrong with walking away.

Yes you did do the right thing walking away was the right choice to avoide starting a fight... BUT You shouldn't have showed them a nasty face as this could have caused them to throw more rocks at you or might even beat you up since it was 9 vs 1. You should have looked to see who threw the rock, dialed 911 and report where you are and what happened, the police would come and take them in for harrasment and you wouldnt face the problem again! good luck and I hope this helped.

Best to walk away then get jumped by 9 ppl. Unless they were KIDS then you Did more of the right thing by being more mature. And if they were your age.. You were outnumbered.. Had it been just one person.. You still should avoid fighting but confronting the person would have been better...In a way.

Hey Alex. You totally did the right thing, man. Are you asking because you feel like you chickened out? Don't worry about this. A bunch of idiots across the street don't warrant your attention. There are so many fights to fight out there. You gotta pick your fights very carefully and fight for what really matters to you and your loved ones.
Hope this helps. Take care.

Of course. And on a funny note now....I don't think you could have beaten up 9 kids? :) It's sad when we're outnumbered in such simple ways as this one....but the day could have ended with you being hurt and possibly going to the hospital...you did the right thing.

Yeah you did. Its better to just ignore it when people do things like that. Plus your right, 9 vs 1 would have been bad..

Of course you did not only the right but the smart thing.

The best way to deal with this type of behavior is to ignore it, because any response at all will reward them and cause them to push it further.

Yes, you did the right thing, just try to ignore them and they'll lose interest. But if they don't let up you might have to talk to the school counselor.

Yes, you did the right thing by not getting involved with those loosers. They are only strong in a group.
