Not the end but definitely a temporary leave of absence until the problem gets corrected.
We may have to go back to ballot voting until the issue is resolved as some have suggested. No matter how anyone looks at it, as long as the voting machines do not provide at least a paper receipt, there is NO DEMOCRACY in America!
To have a Democracy, fair elections are a mandatory.
Robert Kennedy Jr has a lawsuit pending against the Bush Administration concerning how exit polls were proportionally wrong in 2004. The exit polls, which have never been wrong in American history before, had Kerry winning so much that Kerry went inside to write his acceptance speech at 7pm that evening.
How could they have been that wrong... all fo them?

What definition do you give to electronic voting machines? My county uses a scanner type machine, voters have to check in and check out. I guess this is electronic, I assume the results are read on a tally sheet. No humans after the vote, that's democracy.

Election fraud will take place easier. Republicans have cheated often before but they are the first to criticize Venezuela's elections. Maybe the Iranian prime minister should come as an observer.
Bush wants to spread democracy but accepts it only when he can controlled the winner.
Why is the USA allowed to contribute money and resources to influence elections in other countries. It is illegal in the USA for candidates to accept money from foreigners.

After all the security patches we've had to download why anyone would trust a computerized voting machine is beyond me.

Probably not, but why should we in the USA criticize elections in Venezuela and other countries when we have ourselves such an easy way to rig an election.

Yes. It is not who gets the votes that counts. It is who COUNTS the votes that counts. That's how we got Bush for 2 illegal, immoral terms.

We've had plenty of instances of voter corruption in the past with paper ballots.

Yeah, pretty much. Just another way to disenfranchise the minority voter.
