A general rule of thumb is that a person's heart is about the size of their fist. Oddly, hearts tend to grow at the same rate as fists.

As men typically have larger bodies and hence larger hands, so male hearts tend to be larger... as an average.

Obviously this will be the case for healthy specimens only, as various fitness/health issues can affect the size of the heart.

Biologist use the term, " sex " for distinguishing the male and female sex. Only social scientists use the mistaken term, " gender. "

The sexual dimorphism on our species is about 15% in favor of men, so, naturally men would have bigger hearts then women, on average.
