Yes, because the more money you have have the more choices you have.
more choices = more freedom.
Edit:
Actually no, the above statement isn't true
Here is a true statement.
We always have a potential ton of choices to choose from however many are considered "wrong"
but we still have those choices to make or not.
We are always as free as anyone else. and all people rich or poor must decide just how much a choice is going to effect them.
But then they are letting a potential result control their decision. sometimes really rich people are forced to make many decisions they don't want because the outcome isn't threatening their bank wad. Akmost as if their money is imprisoning their inner self.
Jail limits many choices so don't go to jail.
but everything else is an abundunt amount of choice
I keep talking about choice because I think that is our ultimate freedom.

Although money isn't everything. Sadly in order to get anything in life beside family and friends. Money makes the world go around and does buy freedom at times. Not all the time because sometimes people can discriminate that oh your rich because you have money so I am going to not sell you stuff or jack up the price of my products. Believe it or not people sure do that at times probably.

Of course. In fact, I believe the two main things money buys are time and freedom.

I would have to say that no money does not buy freedom however it maybe the key to freedom, it is much more a key than a door.

Money is a material desire. While freedom more of a spiritual desire. Spiritual and material desires are not in the same context. Therefore, while it is possible to obtain both; one does not neccesarily grant the other. No, money could never possibly buy a spiritual desire such a freedom.

Only to an extent. There comes a point when all your wealth can do no more for you than what it has already done.
It will buy you a degree of freedom but only to an extent.

Yes. My brother was imprisoned in Mexico in the late 70's and all attempts through diplomatic channels, etc. failed. We finally bribed the judge, the wardon and several guards for his release. If you have enough money--you have power--and power will get you freedom...

in some ways, yes it can, especially in freeing up your time, so that then you can be involved in the things that interest you
it takes money to buy that car, that vacuum cleaner, soap , bread etc
while your mind can always be free, its binding and restraining to have to devout time to walking, sweeping with a broom, making soap etc etc
