I am contemplating on downloading a demo for a popular computer game. If the demo works on my computer, will the regular game work on my computer without having to buy another $150 graphics card?

BTW, my graphics card is a NVIDIA 6600 and the video game in question is Call of Duty 4.

There are three good answers here and I can't decide which one is the best so I'm going to put this question to vote.

There is no exact answer to this question, it's a 50-50 chance. A long time ago, i had download the demo for Halo 1. I enjoyed it, so i decided to buy it. When i bought and ran on it on my computer, it was terrible. It was slow and just bad. There were NO scratches on the disc at all and i had a friend check it and there were problems with the disc just my computer. But you have a awesome graphics card in my preference and Call Of Duty 4 should work fine on your computer.
