They are always making comments like that, not in a malicious or disrespectful way but theyre implying that they really like white women which is a little surprising to me. For one Im thinking there is definitely racial tension between blacks & whites in the country & its just surprising to hear them say that....but what im really curious about is why, what is there obsession with white women. And also i wonder if black women mind when they hear that coming from black men. Lastly I hear them say that but its not all that often that I actually see a black/white couple, i mean its not uncommon but i just dont see it often.

Where do some of you get that black/white couples are so "new"? Seriously, here in what is now called the U.S., blacks and whites have been getting romantically involved and getting married since before laws were created to outlaw it. Contrary to popular belief, "mixed" people don't exist solely due to white slave masters raping black slave women. Don't misunderstand- I'm not belittling the fact that it did happen (and happened often). I'm merely pointing out that black/white couples have existed here for quite some time.

Anyway- On to the question-

Comedians joke. That's what they do. So nothing they say could possibly bother me. And I can't fathom why anyone else would be bothered by what they say.

White men joke about it too. One comedian said he wanted to thank all the black men for taking all the fat ugly white women off their hands. That was a joke in mean spirit though. It really isn't true that all black men like white women though because out of all marriage interracial marriage only makes up 7% of all marriages. That is barely anything.

Where do you people live saying it's a NEW trend? LOL!
No it is not new at all. Far from it. Seriously...where do you live? I listen to a watch Black comedians and I haven't heard any of them expressing their desire for White women. Which comedian are you refering to?
Contrary to popular belief not ALL Black men (not even most) are obsessed with White women. Most Black men prefer Black women. Get to know Black people in real life and you will see.

I listen to a LOT of Black comedians and I must disagree with you wholeheartedly.

I do, however, hear a lot of Black comedians making jokes about how easy they think White women are. That is in my observation.

In fact, the last comedian I heard made a joke about how Black men like to pursue sex with White women but marry the Black women.

The fastest growing interracial group is black women with white men. Over 20 years, the number has grown over 100% Overall, I think that it is just a joke, considering that only 13% of black men date interracially and 8% is with white women. I think that it is wherever they can get a laugh.

Where do you live? I ask because you say you find it surprising that black men joke about this, you have not seen the number of white women with black husbands and bf these days? Where I live it is very common and no body pays any attention to it one way or another, it's just a man and a woman that love each other period, what does color have to do with it?

In the midst of being confused by what you are asking....I think..umm....Comedians are often not the best reference to make a point, even when the point is pointless. Get the point?

Blacks and whites dating is actually a fairly new trend. I mean its not something that just started happening in the 2000's, but not too long ago we were going to separate schools and such.
Yeah, I have heard that before. I think that people are making the racial tension worse by acting like its weird for people to date outside their race, or act outside their stereotype.

I don't really understand your question all that well, but basically, if you're asking if WE should take comedians seriously...I'll go out on a limb and say ...no!
